Annuals are plants that live in your Local Environment for up to a year under normal conditions. Then they will need to be replaced because they won't make it another year here in the Middle Tennessee Landscape.

Colorful flowerbeds with the beautiful flowers low to the ground and near the front are usually annuals. Some of my favorite annuals I like to plant are Pansies, Violas, Impatiens, Bucopa, and Verbina. There are many more I plant. There are other plants considered annuals that are not low growing or as brightly colored. Most tropicals could be considered annuals here in Middle Tennessee because they would not make it through the Winters here.
