Why Zoysia?
Zoysia is the slowest growing of the three main types of sod available in the middle Tennessee area, taking two years instead of one, and making it the most expensive option. It turns a sandy tan color during the winter, and brightens back up to its limey green.
Maintenance
As far as maintenance goes, Zoysia is easier to maintain, since it does grow a little slower, and it’s a shorter plant in general, so mowing is much more manageable. The only other concern is making sure to fertilize once in the summer for this type of lawn.
